Lesson for the Day:

Step 1: Mrs. Silver will welcome students at the door and hand them a number. Students will report to tables with corresponding numbers. Next, she will a student to give each student the Medieval Europe Station Questions handout while she takes attendance.

Step 2: Mrs. Silver will explain that today students will be participating in a station activity. For this activity they will start off at their assigned table with the reading that is in the folder. Students will be given five minutes (timed using the CLASSDOJO system) to read the reading that is in the folder. Mrs. Silver will tell students that during the reading time they will more than likely finish before the five minutes are over, so they will need to go ahead and locate the reading title in their handout and begin answering the corresponding questions. Next, Mrs. Silver will tell student that once the five minutes are over they will be given five minutes once again on the timer to discuss and answer questions as a group. Mrs. Silver will explain the expectations of those conversations and answers for corresponding questions.

Step 3: Students will begin station activity, reading and answering questions, in 10 minute segments.

Step 4: Mrs. Silver will instruct students, at the completion of the station activity-60 minutes, that they will take 20 minutes to silently reflect on what they learned by answering the questions on the last page of their handout. This will take the rest of the time period. Students will turn in their station activity at the end of the class, along with last nights homework.
