Students will follow instruction by taking Cornell notes-writing the main idea for each slide and notes that are the highlights of needed information. She will add verbal details to the power point to give them more background information and context as we move through each slide. . As students take notes using the Cornell Note Sheet, Mrs Silver will tell them what to write and where, since they are still new to this process/strategy of note taking)
Step 3: Mrs. Silver will pass out the Informative 5 Themes of Geography handout. She will discuss each of the boxes, instructing students that each time they are presented with a civilization, they need to ask the 5 Themes of Geography questions and be able to develop answers.
